THE MOST IMPORTANT FORCES IN BUSINESS ARE OFTEN THE ONES YOU CAN'T SEE.

Dave Place helps leaders, teams, and organizations understand the invisible dynamics that determine whether they grow or stall: trust, value, ownership, momentum, and perspective.

DIFFERENT STAGE. SAME PURPOSE.

Five years on the road. Tens of thousands of people. An education earned from the back of a van. Long before building businesses and leading teams, Dave learned to hold a room from a very different kind of stage. Touring taught him that having people's attention and earning their attention are two very different things. Then the stage changed. Touring gave way to entrepreneurship, employees, clients, leadership, successes, failures, and a different kind of audience. But Dave kept coming back to the same question:

What Actually Moves People?

The answer has shaped both his approach to business and his approach to the stage.

Information alone doesn't move people. Connection does.

FEATURED KEYNOTE

The Trust Advantage

When Trust Goes Up, Everything Gets Easier.

Trust is one of the most valuable assets an organization has, yet most companies don't think much about it until it's gone.

Trust determines whether employees speak honestly or stay quiet. Whether leaders delegate or micromanage. Whether customers give you the benefit of the doubt or scrutinize every mistake. Whether teams move quickly or second-guess every decision.

Trust Removes Friction.

Through stories from entrepreneurship, leadership, client relationships, music, and a fair number of his own failures, Dave explores what changes when trust is high, what happens when it disappears, and how everyday interactions either build it or spend it.

Five Simple Ideas. Enormous Consequences.

The forces that shape organizations aren't always complicated. But understanding them can change how we lead, communicate, sell, serve, and work together.

Trust
How Freely Can We Work Together?

Trust changes how quickly we move, how honestly we communicate, and how much freedom we're willing to give one another.

Value
What Actually Matters to Us?

Value isn't fixed. It's personal, situational, and perceived. Understanding what other people value changes how we sell, lead, negotiate, serve, and communicate.

Ownership
What Are We Willing to Take Responsibility For?

The most valuable people don't simply complete tasks. They take responsibility for outcomes.

Momentum
Are We Moving?

Progress compounds. So does hesitation. Moving, learning, adjusting, and moving again can become an enormous advantage.

What Happens When We Change the Lens?

Sometimes the situation doesn't change. The way we understand it does. And that can change everything we do next.

Dave Place is an entrepreneur, agency owner, and former touring musician who speaks about the forces that quietly determine whether people and organizations thrive.

Dave owns BizLadder, a full-service digital marketing agency where he leads a 20-person team serving businesses across North America.

His clients span B2B and software, professional services, home services, healthcare, education, events, and recreation. That breadth has allowed him to watch the same handful of human dynamics play out in wildly different rooms.

Dave's ideas don't come from studying organizations from the outside. They come from building a company, leading people, winning and losing clients, making mistakes, solving problems, and figuring things out in real time.

Before any of that, he spent five years as a touring musician, playing to tens of thousands of people and earning his degree from the back of a van.

Today, he brings both perspectives to the stage: the performer who understands how to earn attention and the operator who has something worth saying once he has it.
